Spotlights
The Spotlights is a large oasis, located near the centre of the Milky Way. Luminosity of every star in this oasis is magnified thanks to a stellamagical leyline looping around the region.
There is very little sophontic life in the Spotlights. Much of the oasis's solar systems and rogue planets are occupied by various stellar empires. The Jovian Empire has vast claims in the Spotlights, with Karkhala and Razhea Capita continuing their bitter rivalry - Karkhala wants to claim planets to expand their empire, while Razhea Capita wants to protect these planets and solar systems from Karkhala.
