Habitable Zone
The Habitable Zone is shockingly misleading - despite its charming name, this island is far from paradise. While the dominant spiders on Nalmaria, hostilins, cannot be found in the Habitable Zone, other dangerous beasts are still abundant.
This island is just south-east of the Scorched Lands. Radiation emitted from this region has begun to infest the Habitable Zone, causing nearby foliage to shrivel up, any still water growing fatal bacterias, even mutating animals.
Geography, Location & Climate
The hottest of summers barely hit zero degrees Celsius. Winters reach minus thirty at the most, with piercing snowfall capable of slicing through an unprotected person.
The dry landscape is rather barren, with several large valleys running right through the island. Some of these valleys reach so deep they encroach on Queen Pasaval's territory - she is the only thing keeping this fractured planet together.
Tunnels run underneath the ground, cracking and breaking in places. A simple misstep can be fatal; if falling down a tunnel doesn't kill you, what lurks in the depths just might.
The southeast of the island has much more foliage. Here the coastal cliff faces drop off into the silk oceans where hostilins keep watch of the island. Dense forests of cacti clog canyons and valleys in the south of the Habitable Zone.
History
Just under four billion years ago the kavaari, an inter-galactic species that once searched for a new home, ventured onto Nalmaria and landed in what is now the Habitable Zone.
In that time Nalmaria had a molten core, dominated by dragons, and was a global rainforest. The only evidence of the kavaari having landed on Nalmaria is a mighty statue of a kavaarian swordstress, in ruins. It was built using varistone, an artificial material created by the kavaari, capable of withstanding billions of years of environmental damage.
The Pillars of Creation are a sequence of giant towering structures found across the Habitable Zone. Five pillars exist, each one displaying indescribable magical symbols on its surface. The Pillars have not yet been studied in person, though razhean data collectors have been sent to take photos and recordings of these pillars - while this data was retrieved, it has not been made public.
Ecology
Cold-blooded creatures struggle to survive in the Habitable Zone, relying on an anti-freeze proteins produced by the body, enabling them to cope with the harsh temperatures. Plants in particular struggle to survive; most have not adapted to thrive in these climates.
Notable Species
Soggy Garland
These silver cacti hold in an obscene amount of water. The biggest garlands, reaching hundreds of metres long, draw in creatures from miles away.Nalmarian Baleen Wolf
This species of baleen wolf is nearly twelve feet tall. They use their giant mouths to sift through dirt and soil, feeding on grubs buried underground.Sprawler
Sprawlers are ten legged creatures with a radial body plan. They scuttle across the lands, stabbing any prey they come across with sharp feet.Moonlet
Moonlets are nocturnal spiders. They have a crescent shaped abdomen and hook onto the ceilings of caves during the daytime.Fat Headed Darter
With great big wings they slice through the wind. Fat headed darters weigh next to nothing.Wiretail

This is unfortunately my least-favorite place on the spider planet due to not having spiders. Hopefully we can get those numbers up.
Wait. Where is the word "giant-" Aw, now this comment makes me look dumb. Darn you, phone keyboard.
You'd rather be with all of the house-sized spiders??? I guess we can arrange it, but you might not enjoy being taken to the core of the planet and eaten.
