Glacial Depths
The Glacial Depths are one of the four oceans of Exorsia, located at the north of planet, above both the continents of Cheikun and Elderan, and surrounding the continents of Atlan and Kronghenton.
The Glacial Depths are a frigidly cold expanse of water, averaging temperatures of -2°C, and are usually covered in glacial sheets and icebergs, making it incredibly dangerous to traverse. The cold waters mean there is only a small population of wildlife that make their home here, with it being then only ocean on Exorsia devoid of any Merfolk settlements.
Both the Atlan Research Route, between Gûnragni and Scarbor, and the West Eldani Research Route, between Port Nyras and Scarbor, traverse these waters, but only during the Summer months, as the ice sheets make it almost impossible during any other time of the year.
