Slavers Bay
Slavers Bay is a small bay of sea located in western Hepsut, situated between the island of Shahin Rocks and the Ashfall Range mountains, with the Ashfall River flowing into it.
The waters of Slavers Bay are treacherous, filled with jagged rocks that lie just below the tide, making traversing it incredibly difficult for those who don't known the correct pathways. It's waters are dotted with the ruins of sunken ships, claimed by the rocks. Also, like the nearby Ashfall Range mountains, Slavers Bay is largely devoid of life or vegetation, with fish and river flora uncommonly found within it.
Slavers Bay is an old name, coming from before the Fall of Arcanum, as the bay used to be home to a popular illicit pirate auction, who's ruins can still be unearthed to this day. The pirates used to sell their wares at the auction sight, particularly their slaves, though the place fell out of use following the Sun War (234 BF to 221 BF).
Following the Fall, Slavers Bay began to see use once more by the local pirates of the Kuai Archipelago, who used it as a meeting place for trade and to sell slaves with other pirates, as well as the people of Hepsut. Though the activity was infrequent enough for the Coven of Maran's attempts at combating it difficult. But ever since the Dreadpenny Fleet was taken over by the Dreadpenny Queen in 2073 AF, and the outlaw of slavery among the pirates, Slavers Bay has not seen any new illicit activity.
