Boundary Hill
Boundary Hill, sometimes called Death Mountain, is a solitary mountain located within the Deadwastes, directly on the border between Elderan and Osirin. The Carthin River flows from Boundary Hill, through the Deadwastes, to the western coast of Osirin.
Boundary Hill was historically used as a boundary marker, defining the border between the regions of Elderan and Osirin, hence the name. After the formation of the Deadwastes, and the deterioration of the local environment, the mountain has become lifeless and barren, with some locals beginning to call it "Death Mountain", due to it's dead appearance, location within the Deadwastes, and the lightning that often strikes it's peak during storms. Some childish rumours also claim that the mountain is cursed, and is responsible for the formation of the Deadwastes.
