Celestria’s Point
Celestria's Point is a gigantic mountain located at the very heart of the continent of Atlan, rising out of the Frigid Sea, and towering above the clouds and lands around it.
Celestria's Point is a sacred place for many of the local Giantkin peoples, such as the Druskvar, Karagkar and Verker, who call the mountain “Fjalltindr Ljóstasta”, which in Giant vaguely translates to ‘the mountain where lights touch the earth’. The local Giantkin, particularly the Karagkar Goliath, will take the dangerous journey up the mountain as part of their coming of age ritual, with those that survive seen as adults, with the rest usually killed in the climb. Giantkin will also ascend Celestria's Point for spiritual or Divine guidance, with the local Giantkin believing that upon the peak of Celestria's Point they are closest to their Giant Gods, and that the mountain itself speaks wisdom to them.
The formation of Celestria’s Point is largely theorised to be unnatural, and possibly of Divine creation, with it not matching the surrounding environment. Some have theorised that the mountain is a dormant volcano, but due to the harsh natural conditions of the mountain, as well as the territorial nature of the local Giantkin population, a thorough investigation into the mountain has yet to be attempted.
