Afilan Region

Wetlands and marshes dominate the Afilan Region on Rubrinea. It has a population of just ninety-five thousand, and some of the best conservation management programs on the planet. Much of the region's populace lives on ground level, with just a couple skytowns to the north.

The blood-red reeds of these wetlands stand from twelve to fifteen metres tall; they dwarf neighbouring forests, hillsides, and even urban areas.
