Void Pearl
Void pearls are magical items created after capturing a void dimension. These simple little orbs may appear useless, but their hidden powers can be harnessed with the right magic.
Void pearls come in two variants; warm and cold. This is based on the type of dimension captured. A warm pearl will be hot to the touch and a light orangey colour, while cold pearls are frozen, with a deep purple colour.
Pearl Hijacking
Pearl hijacking is the illegal act of selling void pearls under the false pretense of it being a regular pearl, ready to be transmuted into a viable object. These pearls have been hijacked, typically by the seller but sometimes by a third party.
When the user uses their dimension as an independent storage unit, the hijacker also has access, and is free to take whatever is placed inside. As these pocket dimensions are often used to store incredibly valuable items, pearl hijacking often proves to be a very financially rewarding activity.
If caught, criminals may face up to fifty years in prison, with fines of up to a hundred thousand charms.
