Underwater Trees

Underwater trees are massive geological anomalies, formed from rocks being carved in interesting designs by the waves and tides. They are often sites of nesting for many species, and during breeding seasons can triple in population compared to other times in the year.

Geography

Underwater trees are constructed out of the rocks that form the land. The main trunk is the thickest, with smaller rock branches extending outwards. Depending on where the tree is, different species of plants and coral will grow. In tropical environments, more coral will grow, such as the one in Surbaria Reef is completely coated in coral and kelp. In colder oceans, the trees are covered with moss, underwater lichen and glowing kelp or coral.

Ecosystem

During breeding season is when the animal life around these underwater trees booms out of proportion. The plant life draws in a lot of herbivorous fish, which then draws in carnivorous fish. Lots of species like to breed here because the abundance of weird rock formations and plant life gives the nests a good place to hide and are a safer environment, except for the predators.

Fauna & Flora

Lots of plant and coral species grow here, pigtail corals, heart corals, honeycomb coral, snowbell coral, aurora coral, jungle queen's coral among many others have been found growing in the warmer underwater trees.   The rich biodiversity in plants have attracted many fish species, pinchers, heartscale fish, busline fish, and predatory ones such as kaijurays and felorcas.

Anari

Anari is the name of the biggest ever underwater tree. It grows in the middle of Golwon Ocean, in the warmest region on Ocearia. It is a whopping 279 metres tall, stretching from the seafloor to a metre above sea level. Having over 700 species of plants and coral, it attracts millions of marine life yearly.
