Anari

Anari is the largest underwater tree on Ocearia, reaching a metre above sea level from two hundred and seventy metres below it. It is a capital for many marine species choosing this particular location as a nesting ground, using its abundance of plant life for cover and as a food source. Anari is responsible for the population booms of many creatures on the planet, and sustains many species and its predators. It is located in the middle of the Golwon Ocean, and used as a landmark to help people guide their way through this warm ocean, as its seafloor tends to disorient its visitors as it appears entirely as a mismatched pile of rock and coral formations.

Biodiversity

This particular underwater tree sustains over 700 species of marine plants and coral, from the ever so tiny pigtail coral to the giant ocearian moonvines. The coral and plants create a beautiful kaleidoscope of colours from the darkest reds to the brightest greens.

This rich plant life then attracts many herbivorous marine species, such as lawnmower fish. These animals attracts a large amount of predators that circle the underwater tree, waiting for a fish to eat. Anari attracts over a billion animal species yearly, mostly due to the breeding season.

Breeding Season

Breeding season takes place at the same time each year, within springtime on the planet's seasonal calendar. Most fish species lay eggs hidden in small rock crevices and within specialised plants that work in a mutualistic relationship with the fish, like how Earth's clownfish and anemones work together; the anemone provide homes for clownfish, and the clownfish clean the anemone of all its algae.

Anari's plant life provides almost infinite amounts of homes for small fish to lay their eggs, and the unique rock formations makes many small holes and crevices which are perfect to hide a nest of eggs from a suspecting predator.
