Mesen Valai
In a quiet corner of Ossaco City is Razhea Capita's biggest A to Zoo superfan. Mesen Valai spends her family's inheritance on the latest A to Zoo merchandise, having spend approximately 5 million charms on assorted plush teddies, badges, fridge-magnets, and other knick-knacks.
Her dedication to the A to Zoo has earned her a great reputation within the organisation. She visits at least three times a week, spending a weekly allowance of a thousand charms on feeding experiences, VIP animal handlings, and other experiences. Due to her frequent purchases, Mesen is the only person to have recieved a lifetime discount at the zoo, for every single purchase.
Mesen's Favourite Enclosures
Mesen visits the glamorous peafowls every single visit, without fail. These animals wander free-range in the Theropods Sector 2. Most wandering peafowl avoid visitors, but Mesen has made it her personal goal to befriend each and every bird. A handful of peafowl now follow her around, as she sneakily sprinkles breadcrumbs wherever she walks.
When she's not playing with the peafowl, Mesen is admiring the carmine coati enclosure. These winged procyonids are one of the most intelligent raccoon relatives, almost as smart as a ten year old human. They are capable of understanding several languages, even when spoken at once. Mesen enjoys talking to the coatis in multiple languages, testing their abilities. Some of the zookeepers have invited her behind the scenes with the coatis, letting her play with the animals inside the enclosure.

Do the carmine coatis count as sophonts, then? That quote at the very start got me dying XD
I suppose they wouldn't - to me, and by the Yonderverse's standards, a sophontic species is one capable of philosophical thought, self-awareness, etc. I plan on writing an article on sophonce eventually, which will detail the loose criteria :D
