Death's Knockers

Death's knockers is a genus of wildflower from Norrab. These flowers are one of the most poisonous on the planet, and are strikingly similar to a non-poisonous medicinal plant, death's doorbell. These flowers are rare, found within the Sian Lowlands and the Looming Desert.

Anatomy

Death's Knockers by Mochi

Death's knockers are a decently large flower species. They can grow up to a metre tall, their petals blooming during hot seasons.

Named after the poisonous nature of these plants, death's knockers are extremely colourful. This is partly to attract pollinators, such as a wide variety of bee species. It is also to deter herbivorous animals from consuming them.

Most petals on a death's knocker is a deep pink, with yellow tips. The outermost petals are a burnt orange, with large brighter orange streaks.

Death's knockers have wide roots that pick up runoff water. They often grow close to rivers, such as the Algol.

The yellow-tipped petals are identical to those of death's doorbells. At a glance, these two flowers appear exactly the same.
Death's knockers have web-like sepals that point downwards.
The stem of these flowers can grow up to a hundred centimetres, often growing additional support-stems.
