Castara

Castara is the capital of Aar-Aori settlements, a large city constructed out of the earth itself, blessed with magic. The entire city is concealed from harmonity, Through the powers of magic that the Aar-Aori have mastered. The city has a population of about 6,000,000, steadily increasing.

Demographics

Like every single Aar-Aori settlement, the demographic is almost fully Aar-Aoris. However, in Castara there is a small population of Swamp Serreses, small swamp goblins.

Government

The city is run by Ery-ta, who lives in Sorida Castle, just north of the city. The city has relatively high taxes compared to the other settlements, as Ery-ta is a very money-hungry person.

Defences

The defences of this city are all aimed at harmonids. The city is hidden away from harmonids by the power of magic. Somehow, if a harmonid managed to get in, they would be met with armed cannons sat on top of watchtowers, controlled by skilled Aari Guards. These guards also have many weapons to fight dangerous things that enter the city.

Infrastructure

Castara is constructed out of coloured hardened clay and hardened mud, creating clean walls and the houses and other buildings stack on top of each other. Intricate patterns are carved on balconies, as there are no roofs on the houses. Lots of alleyways, pathways and bridges connect different pyramids of houses, which are large stacks of houses forming pyramids. The entire city is formed out of many of these pyramids of houses. 
Since Aar-Aori are semi-aquatic, half of the city is submerged under the swampwaters. The underwater part of the city can be accessed through wells that serve as entrances instead of real wells. Jumping through will take you into a huge, mile wide underground cave, full of bustling streets, and bright coloured houses.

Assets

Since Ery-ta is very money hungry, she has kept the majority of her money underneath Sorida Castle. The city itself also has a decent amount of money, held inside a vault below Castara bank.
