Camp Borealis

Camp Borealis is a camp dedicated to children in the summer where they can visit and partake in many activities. Located in the boreal forests of Atheau Island, it is a popular camp that hosts to over five thousand visitors a year.

Industry & Trade

Camp Borealis earns money from the visitors and families that come to stay over the summers. The camp pays to advertise themselves all over social media, attracting families from all over the world to their campsite on Atheau Island. The campsite has recieved several grants and donations from companies who now work contracts with the campsite, promoting each other, earning themselves more money.

Infrastructure

Facilities such as staff centres and toilets are built out of various wood types coated in a metal to protect from fire and other weather hazards. The flooring is a carpeted metal that can be radiated in the winters, to keep people and insides warm whilst the carpets are safe from harm.
Hydroelectric power stations feed off of the lake and rivers nearby, generating enough electricity to independantly power the entire campsite.

History

Owned and operated by Nirida Oweri, she set up this organisation to support children with disabilities, as a way to distract them from hardships in life and give them a breath of fresh air, allowing them to be themselves and have fun while at the camp. After extensive campaigning online, she managed to raise enough money to start construction of this camp along with her husband, Deril Oweri. After 2 years of building this site, they managed to open it in 2039. This was a resounding success, as the camp earned themselves a whopping 250 thousand corral in its first year. The next years did not manage to earn enough money, but still a shocking amount (149 thousand in 2040, and 201 thousand in 2041). Since then, the campsite has used the hard earned money recieved through donations, charities and other events, to better the facilities and increase amounts of activities as well as promoting this on various social medias.

Tourism

Due to an extensive campaigning when the camp was first being built and being popular on many social media sites, this camp attracts thousands of visitors each year. Children mostly from ages 5 - 16 attend this camp during a couple week period in summers and autumns. The array of activities appeal to many children, and the safety measures appeal to parents. This campsite isn't limited to children, a section for adults can be found just north, cabins located in the forest with a beautiful scenery appeals to couples all over the world.

Geography

The settlement was constructed around Lake Dinisie, taking advantage of it by using a hydroelectric station to power the camp and to host many water sports and activities. The camp is also situated deep within a boreal forest with incredibly tall trees to take advantage of the trees height and build many treetop activities.
