Bulb City

Bulb cities are staples of populated gas giants. These massive structures grow from the core outwards, from a small cluster of houses to an unmovable mass.

Where the atmosphere allows, bulb cities can grow miles in diameter. A bulb city is typically anchored to large floating islands for extra stability, though occasionally they are completely free-floating.

The cities are common throughout the Milky Way, popularised especially in the Greater Oasis. They are very practical, taking advantage of the gravity, or lack thereof. The outer shell of these cities are usually reserved for luxury housing, while the inner body of the city is filled with tunnels, housing complexes, and utilitarian buildings.
