Arifalis
Perched high in the pink skies of Saturn is Arifalis. A massive flying city with almost six million inhabitants, it is a marvel of architecture and technology. Arifalis is nearly two thousand years old - it has faced countless attacks from civilisations near and far, and has become the most feared force in Saturn's Free Lands. where civilisations are free to terrorise one another without consequence.
Arifalis is a bulb city - these settlements, often seen on gas giants, float through the atmosphere and are build from the core outwards.
History
The oldest still standing buildings in Arifalis are around a hundred years old, while the city itself has lasted far longer. With the constant pressure of a harsh climate and conflict with other cities across the globe, reconstruction is constant.

Early Arifalis was nothing more than several flying houses tethered together with rope bridges, as most settlements start on Saturn.
More folk merged their houses with the mass, eventually growing into a stable settlement, building off a core made of wood, rock, and metal.
Arifalis truly established itself as a city around a thousand years ago. It had grown into a true wonder of the skies, floating free, crashing into smaller settlements and annihilating civilians.
The city suffered a tremendous attack ten years ago, with nearly a third of the structure wiped out completely. This attack came from Lanteris, another powerful city wandering the Free Lands. The city lost a million citizens in the process, the biggest catastrophe the city has ever seen.
