Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain is the tallest mountain in the Frost mountain range. It is 14,561m tall. It is located in Kaltia, and it is the most southern mountain in the mountain range.

Geography

Made of striking blue rocks, blue mountain is incredibly steep in some places. At the base of the mountain, the foliage; trees, bushes, flowers and grasses have grown and faded into a light blue colour, due to them absorbing the minerals from the mountain. To the north of the mountain, facing the rest of the Frost Mountain Range, are several plateaus. On the south side it is much more steep. Several natural reservoirs with blue water exist on the various plateaus at different altitudes.

Ecosystem

Blue Mountain doesn't have many creatures living on it. Cave rocklins, a small rocklin subrace, have tunneled their way through Blue Mountain, and have a few entrances near the base, which are frequently used to gather resources around the base of the mountain range in the meadows. A few rock eating/absorbing invertebrates have turned blue, from absorbing the minerals inside the mountain.

Natural Resources

The blue rocks of Blue Mountain is the only place on Greenerth you can find them. The blue rocks contain a bright blue mineral, and when digested, dyes them green, which is why the blue mountain larva and beetles are a bright blue, and the "greenery" at the base of the mountain has a light blue hint to them.

History

Since it's discovery over a million years ago, harmonids have been dying to climb to the top, despite its difficulty. Thousands of expeditions have led themselves to their death while climbing, due to the cold temperatures, lack of air, or simply falling.   In the 1400s, three pathways were created, each varying in danger and difficulty. These pathways climbed about halfway up the mountain, as that was all the people could go at the time. As more people managed to climb higher, the pathways were brought up along with them. In 1894, three climbers simultaneouly made their way to the tip of the mountain, Natya Felt, Fruin Mauneton and Arrin Forme. These three made history, made headlines, and their names travelled round the world.

Tourism

Blue Mountain's treacherous terrain and height bring in hundreds of thousands of tourists yearly, in the hopes of them reaching the top of the mountain. These tourists follow the designated paths to stay safe, as they make their way up the mountain, climbing on all fours occasionally.
