I don't think it's dreadful! I really like the second verse because it sounds like she's speaking to a specific person, and I personally prefer when singers write about specific things from their lives rather than generic ideas, even if I don't have all the context for what they're talking about. I think it's really cool that you wrote one of her songs, especially since you haven't written song lyrics before this. It makes me want to listen to it all the more.
