Whirlpool Falls
Flowing into the biggest lake on Capepo are the Whirlpool Falls. These falls are some of the tallest on the planet, standing in at just over two hundred and fifty metres. Two settlements look out onto the Whirlpool Falls - Nivindis to the east, and Sevann to the west.

The waterfalls are a popular tourist attraction; viewing platforms wrap around the cliffs, some snaking behind part of the falls. The falls attract nearly seventeen thousand visitors annually. Many notice peculiar figures lurking near the bottom of the waterfalls. Tourists chalk the black and blue hooded figures up to be nothing more than a hallucination.
A small leyline running through Capepo pierces through the bed of Lake Navay, where the waterfall runs in. A powerful hydromagical energy influences these waterfalls and the lake.
Sorcerers gather at the base of the waterfall, thick hoods disguising their identity. They wait for the waterfalls to reach terminal velocity, causing water droplets to harden, fuse, and form small orbs. Powered by water magic, when swallowed the orbs influence hydroseers and their abilities.
Magic enthusiasts (specifically those with no current ability to wield magic) have noted a similarity to the Riptiders of the Waterways; a group of powerful hydromancers that wear strikingly similar robes.
Ecology
Many hardy organisms survive the onslaught of water in the Whirlpool Falls. A ew animals survive in the falls themselves, not just within Lake Navay.
Shinhead Tetra
Schooling in Lake Navay are shinhead tetras. They have additional bony plating around their skull, believed to be involved in a mating ritual.Whirlpool Bear
Whirlpool bears measure in at just three feet tall at the shoulder, when on their hind legs. They are docile, playing with tourists and splashing water at them.Silkroot Crimson
With a tensile strength similar to spider silk, this pink flower manages to hold its own on the cliffs behind the waterfalls. At night, the falls glow pink.Related Articles
