Valinspar Depths

The Valinspar Depths is the second largest underground settlement of Etrea. It is connected to the other two depths via long tunnels that stretch miles under the ground. The Valinspar Depths is home to the Weirin People, a race of tall, thin people that have exceptional speed.

Industry & Trade

The Valinspar Depths have access to some of the most precious resources in all the lands. Even deeper in the caves are veins of gold, iron, silver, among others, which can only be accessed by the Weirin People. These metals are used as soldier armour and weapons, as well as hatches that block off any access to the underground civilisations.   The Valinspar Depths also trade the stone that they carve out to make their houses, as it is tougher than any other stone used by the other two Depths. They trade this along with their gold and other metals, and the Valinspar Depths has become one of the most important trading settlements for people across the planet.

Architecture

The houses in the Valinspar Depths are simply designed. Rooms are chiseled out in the walls, and are brightly decorated. The colours in and on the houses help bring life to the otherwise dull city, which benefits people's mental health a lot.

Geography

The Valinspar Depths is constructed in one of the largest cave networks on Dracosei. The caves are dimly lit, only fluorescent algae, moss, vines and mushrooms illuminate the caves. The ground itself is rock solid, and is incredibly dry. Small pores in the ground filters the water into aquifers, where the people of the Depths get water for drinking and cleaning. The hard rock provides good infrastructure too, houses carved out into the walls.

Natural Resources

These particular Depths have the best access to precious metal ores and other valuable underground resources. Several mines have been set up by the Weirin People to extract metals such as silver, gold and iron which are used to fight dragons.   As well as this, the rock from the caves is valued with the other two Depths settlements, and so it has become a valued trade resource between the three and aids the Valinspar Depths greatly.
