Sunev Island

Sunev is one of six islands on Ocearis. It is by far the largest island, over a hundred thousand square kilometres. It is home to a few land species of birds, reptiles and invertebrates. The Seriban Region formed its society around this island, using it to obtain precious materials that only they then have access to.

Geography

To the north, Sunev Island has a rocky cliff face, with an abundance of caves and arches. The cliffs also attract a lot of bird species that nest in small cracks. The discordant coastline in the east has created a lot of bays and headlands. In the south, there is a flat beach that goes over a mile inland, creating a nice space for many crustacean species to call home, especially smoothshell crabs.

History

Sunev Island was explored by the newly evolved Subrateras, who were completely herbivorous and could survive out of water for up to an hour. They explored this island, and began to mark it as their own. As the Subrateras were building their civilisation, they took over the island and collected its resources, farming new plant species. When the Seriban Region was invaded in 1280, Sunev Island was briefly invaded by the Aquiloids from the Kirinian Region, until the Subrateras fought them off and the Aquiloids retreated, leaving behind Sunev Island.
