Pawfect Pets is a business operating around the Greater Oasis. While it promotes itself as an independent company, it is owned by DeoVita, utilising their genetic engineering technology to manufacture the perfect pet for any owner.

The company was founded twenty years ago as a single location close to the Galanti Cluster, along the Galactic Highway. In just two years the store gained enough revenue for DeoVita to build twenty stores along major junctions on the Galactic Highway, around bustling shopping regions. There are now just over two hundred Pawfect Pets stores around the Greater Oasis.

It is a jovian owned business, employing around 10,000 individuals of different species and backgrounds across the galaxy.

Unlike a typical pet store where one can walk in, purchase a pet, and walk out with it in hand, at Pawfect Pets you can design your ideal pet, order it, and have it delivered to your home.

Tactile screens line the walls of the building, where customers can design their new pet by combining features of different animals, purchasing add-on genes for a small price. The more heavily customised a pet, the higher the price.

These 'perfect' pets often come with major flaws. Most are complete genetic abominations and cannot survive more than a few years. Customers are often completely ill-informed when it comes to genetic engineering, and pets often come with psychological and physical deformities not disclosed upon delivery.

Pawfect Pets is protected from lawsuits thanks to air-tight non-disclosure agreements all paying customers must sign upon ordering their perfect pet. This keeps the customers from disclosing the specific genes used to design their pet.

Too Cuddly To Kill

Fluffbears, powerful monstrosities utilised by a handful of oanie organisations, were originally designed by Pawfect Pets. A single fluffbear was designed as a special order, estimated to have cost around 10 million charms due to the specimen containing genes from thousands of possible species.

Oanie scientists were able to replicate the DNA of this fluffbear and produce identical copies, which began the manufacturing of the creatures, creating their powerhouse military unit Too Cuddly To Kill.
