Papilio

The wealthiest families on Daglaci have divided part of the Wilds to form their own territories. They pay to watch poor folk hunt for sport in the Wilds. The Papilio family is infamous for having founded this barbaric practice.

First rose to significance around six hundred years ago. Were already fairly wealthy but their proposal for Monster Hunting put them on a pedestal

They would offer to pay lower class millions for them to go hunting in the Wilds. They would provide weaponry and defence, and would watch from afar.

Papilio family lives in the upper parts of Chryselopea. The richest family in Chryselopea, nowadays they have almost full control of the city, and this extends to its government.

During the hunts, the bright lights of Chryselopea would be turned off. They are used as a beacon for navigation in the Wilds, and in order to make the hunt more difficult, the lights would be turned off. To the public, these are just malfunctions. Some know the truth, most do not.

Current Family Members

Melina Papilio, matriarch. 79 years old, has a pet siren orca, looked after since birth.

Pavo Papilio. Husband to Melina, handles all monster hunting affairs. Organises latest hunts and picks new victims.

Onami Papilio, first child. Sought to expand the family's territory and formed a virtual tourism program, for visitors to experience exploring the Wilds of Daglaci right from their home, by watching livestreams on social media. This brings in nearly sixteen million charms annually.

Emas Papilio, second child. Emas was adopted at two years old, after being discovered on family grounds.
