Gloomleak Ruins

The shattered remains of an urban landscape sprawl across a strip of the Looming Desert. An outbreak of Gloom, a mysterious phenomenon, caused the complete collapse of several towns and a small city.

The smell of decay and radiation lingers in the atmosphere surrounding these ruins. Venturing within its bounds is almost certain death - if you can't escape the mutated creatures that guard this region, the radiation will end you.

The spread of Gloom in the atmosphere grasps at anything that gets close to these ruins, transforming and mutilating whatever it can get a hold of. The surrounding landscape is almost alien, with unusual landmarks warped and disfigured - trees form geometric patterns as their branches slice through one another, rivers loop, darting in every direction, and the ruins themselves have stretched into the skies like blades.
