Dragonkeepers take care of eggs, helping them hatch and raising them until someone adopts them

these eggs are often discovered in the wilderness, lost, and brought back to the dragonkeeper ranch to be hatched

They also take care of elderly dragons, or those surrendered by their owners if they cannot take care of them anymore

it is a dragonkeeper's responsibility to match suitable dragons to new owners. if a keeper keeps mismatching dragons, and they get returned as the pair isn't a good fit, it seriously damages their reputation

Dragonkeepers work in large ranches, kept close to settlements, on the outskirts. ranches are sometimes even larger than the vilage or town itself

typically ran by either one or several dragonkeepers, depending on its size. larger cities may employ dragonkeepers in the hundreds, with several ranches on different sides of the city

dragon eggs are placed inside special incubators built from the scales of its species, which helps nurture the eggs

dragonkeepers will also wear large capes made of dragon scales to soothe baby dragons, giving them scents to grow familiar with
