Coruscian

Coruscians are hardy people with impenetrable skin. They are best known for breathtaking architecture and fashion. Coruscian fashion and architecture often works with fragile materials such as glass.

On average, they are the second most intelligent sophont native to Venus, behind delacourtans.

Coruscians have a typical humanoid body plan, with their skin being a defining feature of the species. The skin of a coruscian is a physiological contradiction in and of itself, by being both hard like rock and easily bendable. The entire body has a prismatic sheen to it, including hair and eyeballs.

Glasswear

In venusian high society, being uncomfortable is a small sacrifice for looking beautiful. Glasswear covers anything from shiny pearlescent corsets, to crystalline shoes and tiaras.

Glasswear accentuates coruscian features and is very popular with coruscian celebrities.

They stand tall, between seven and ten feet as adults. There are ring-like ridges around the arms and legs, and waist.

Their toes have fused into one slab-like foot, with limited mobility besides walking or running. The foot lacks grip, besides small ridges on the sole.

Coruscian fingernails are incredibly tough and can cut through most materials. Only specialised nail files can shave them down, otherwise a coruscian will grow their nails to extreme lengths before having them professionally filed.

Many decorate their nails and treat them how a person of a different species may tend to their hair. Special clips, stickers, and ribbons are attached to the nails for decoration.
