Sunsplicer
Sunsplicers are a large plant species that can grow in complete darkness. They are native to Razhea Capita, particularly its Underworld. The leaves and petals can be dried and smoked, unlocking dormant magical forces within those that inhale the smoke.
These vibrant flowers cut through the industrial wasteland that is the Underworld. The plants are stronger than most metals, with an unmatched tensile strength that prevents them from being uprooted.
With no predators, sunsplicers have flourished in the darkest depths of the Underworld, lighting up the region with their luminous anthers and pollen.
The Greenhouse is the Underworld's largest producer of sunsplicers. It is ran by 349 loyal servants, who are not allowed to leave under the penalty of torture, but who willingly tend to the Greenhouse's gardens every minute of every day.
The Greenhouse is one of many buildings ran by the Queen of the Underworld. This powerful ruler refuses to talk about her past, but whatever she went through got her exiled from the surface world.

Greenhouse keepers are given the bare minimum in terms of food, water, and rest. They were all hired with the promise of being treated well (a rarity in the Underworld, thus desirable), but of course that doesn't pan out very well xD I couldn't tell you how many sunsplicers there are in the Greenhouse, but I'd estimate several thousand individual plants. :)
Just realized "Queen of the Underworld has no period" was a very poor choice of words. :|
