2026 New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year! (hopefully)
I hope your WorldEmber went well, mine did! I managed to write 14,408 words across 12 articles! Which was less than last year; however, I think the quality of the articles improved, so that's neat.
Funny enough, I think my backlog create list on Trello actually expanded this WorldEmber instead of shrinking, haha! I have too many ideas, help.
Oh, and a SPECIAL thank you / shout-out to my Legendary accountability buddies I had this WorldEmber. I've never had one before, so I want to thank Mochi and Polina "Line" Arteev so much for allowing me to be their accountability buddies <3 It was fun!
(Please check them out if you haven't already, though, they are more legendary than I am, so you probably know them already lol)

not gonna lie, kinda felt like I butt in because I totally forgot Mochi had a buddy already when I asked if we could be buddies. Though Mochi mentioned we could do a trio if Line was down for it, and they agreed, so that was nice. <3 Or maybe Line was just too nice to say no, idk

2025 Recap View last year's article

2025 was... a year. I only completed about half of the goals I had set in last year's NYR article. Most of the WA events did not go too well as I wanted this year, with the exception of WorldEmber.

Technically, I could check this off already, as I've added 3 new dragonkin types within the first couple weeks of the new year. But I'll come back to this at the end of the year.

And hopefully, just maybe, I'll get some sketches or art for some draognkin this year. I need help, pls help.. Yell at me to do it. idk how to do artsy things :(

Some of the first articles added to the Legends of the Dragonguard world were dragonkin articles. And they haven't been updated since. They are not good..

Clean up LotD CSS

(Completed 02-04-2026)

The CSS for my main world, Legends of the Dragonguard, is a complete mess. I did not set it up in an efficient way, and as I've now started a couple of other worlds and did the CSS from scratch at the start, I want to update LotD's CSS to be cleaner and easier to do things in.

LotD has a lot of CSS, though, so it's going to take a while to go through it. Hopefully, you shouldn't see a difference in the world, as it's really about the backend.

Reach 100 followers on LotD

I'm so close! I didn't get to 100 followers by the end of 2025 for my Legends of the Dragonguard world, so I'm setting this as a goal for 2026 lol >:)
The world needs 8 more followers, at the time of writing this.

Work on characters (LotD)

For NovelEmber 2025, I wanted to work on existing characters and their backstories in Legends of the Dragonguard. I failed at this. It needs to be done, so I'm setting it as a goal for this year.

Blue Mission

Blue Fairy 74 gave me a Blue Mission back in September of 2025. I'll need to finish the task before September of this year!

Beef up Stubs

This one's for both my worlds! There are a few short stub articles in Legends of the Dragonguard, but my newest world, /dev/null, has many stubs.

Create LotD Logo

Like I mentioned last year, I'd like a logo for the Legends of the Dragonguard. Something simple, easily recognizable, and would fit the setting of the world. It would not only be in canon, but also just used for the branding of LotD.

However, now I have an idea for it that I want to try out. I don't know how well I can do it, as I don't do digital art stuff, so I may need to reach out to someone.

This is such an amazing way to do timelines; it's beautiful! I love that it's embedded in an article, which lets it follow with the world's CSS theme; it's just so good! If I get around to doing timelines, I need Mochi's secrets on making it like this.

Wow, just wow. Although this disease has magical implications — something that doesn't exist in my worlds — this article has absolutely terrifying and horrific details of the symptoms. I need to create more diseases for my worlds, and this is a great article for inspiration.

I've been thinking of adding some kind of airship vehicle to LotD (can't use dragons to fly everywhere, that'd take too long). I haven't decided on how they're going to work or look exactly yet, but this is a great article from Dimi. I like the history and the different versions of airships.

The Draconian War in LotD needs to be updated; it's an old article that I never really went through and thought about the specific details. This article by Tynen is a great example of a large conflict; it's so detailed!

The amount of detail for this country is astonishing! I love the description of the land, its history, the article layout, and the images, graphs, and the neat little timeline of major events on the side! I've wanted to make countries and nations in LotD, and this is a great article to take inspiration from.

Omg, this is an amazing article that is so fascinating! Such an interesting history for the character. I aspire to have as much detail for characters in my world. This is a perfect article for inspiration for the Ancient Dragonkin characters in LotD. I'm sure they'd have a lot of history living for as long as they do, but I haven't really thought about the details of what they've done throughout their lives.
