Null Space

The product of glitches in poorly designed and messily written astrogation code, Null Space, also known as Ghost Space, is the result of missing or malformed coordinates being erroneously interpreted as the default zero point or origin of an astrogation chart.   Within a local system, Null Space is easy to spot as it typically points to the center of the local star, or the barycenter between a binary pair. In the wider reaches of the Great Constellation, the error can be more difficult to spot, and Null Spaces are especially prevalent along the poorly charted and shifting spaces of the Protium Shore.
