Null's Diner

Null's Diner is an entirely fictional diner that never actually existed but became a humorous topic of conversation within a town in eastern Emberland. The concept originated from the ambitious plans for a new diner that were circulating in the community for a couple of years. However, despite the buzz and anticipation, the diner never materialized, leaving everyone puzzled by the lack of progress.   Some townsfolk started to create jokes about the establishment, coining the term Null's Diner, an iconic nod to the diner that was promised but never delivered. This playful naming sparked a wave of creativity, with many locals indulging in light-hearted humor and inventing fake menu items that cleverly played on themes of nothingness and absence.   Some of these imagined dishes embraced a humorous twist on real-life food concepts. For example, they jokingly offered sugar-free soda, which, according to the joke, was the only type of soft drink served at Null's Diner. Similarly, they featured boneless wings, poking fun at the fact that they came with no sauce at all, further emphasizing the diner's whimsical theme of absence. The first item to have been introduced was the cleverly named nothing burger. This quirky creation served two purposes: it takes the form of a classic diner staple while simultaneously embodying the very essence of emptiness. The concept plays on the idiom "nothing burger," which refers to something that received a lot of attention but, in the end, lacked any substance of value. To add an extra layer of wit, it was pointed out that this "nothing burger" came without the traditional side of fries, further emphasizing its insignificance and reinforcing the joke.   Ultimately, it was discovered that the plan for a new diner had become ensnared in a web of bureaucratic red tape. The local government's stringent regulations and refusal to compromise or negotiate complicated the search for a suitable plot of land, and, combined with the difficulty in securing the necessary building permits, caused the deal to fall through. Despite the disappointment surrounding the diner's fate, the townsfolk found a silver lining in their shared humor, still cracking jokes about the diner that never was, sometimes even adding more items to its nonexistent menu.

I like the idea, but I think you overexplain the "nothing burger" joke in the text a bit too much x3 I think it would be more effective to let the puns speak for themselves, you know? It sucks away a bit of the humor, if you explain, why it is suppose to be funny.

At the end of everything, hold onto anything.

Fair enough! I just wasn't sure if everyone knew what a "nothing burger" was.
