Teme-Rasadar
Teme-Rasadar is a country on the western portion of the Caelsimilan Peninsula, located on the continent of Yneros. It is one of three administrative areas belonging to the United Lands of Caelsimil Teme-Rasadar. The Lendover Mountains act as the eastern border separating it from Caelsimil. To the north, it is bordered by the Basc Sea, and the Waveless Sea borders it to the south.
Structure
On a federal level, the country is considered an elective timocracy, where political power may only be granted to those who meet certain meritocratic standards. In Teme-Rasadar's case, only citizens who both own land and have provided notable service to the state that reflects its cultural values of honor, duty, and integrity qualify for election. The ruling body is made up of seven individuals known collectively as the Exemplarate. Once a decade, each member must either prove or justify their continued qualification or else they may choose (or be asked) to step down- in which case a new member is elected in their place.
The Exemplarate governs over matters related to military offense and defense, foreign relations and trade, and disputes between provinces. Each province is free to select its own leaders based on local customs as long as they also embody federal values and provide some tangible service either to the country as a whole or to their local communities. Provided they follow federal policies, provinces have autonomy over local affairs. Provincial leaders are known as Nomarchs.
