Li'more
Li'more is the capital of Teme-Rasadar. A major city, it is located on the northwestern portion of the Caelsimilan Peninsula, halfway between the West Woods and the East Woods. Exurbs and edge cities expand from the city proper and blend into the forests, commonly considered part of the capital's greater area.
Demographics
Li'more's majority population is human, with a significant elven presence both in the city proper and along its outskirts. Along with them is a modest population of dwarves from the Lendover Mountains and a nearby island who have relocated to the mainland. Halflings make up the next biggest populace , with smaller demographics representing gnomes, half-orcs, catfolk, and other ancestries.
Elves show an increasing presence within the capital's outskirts and its edge cities, making up districts with a high elven majority. The city's halfling presence is most prominent in rural areas.
History
Natural springs situated between two major forests so close to the Basc sea acted as a convenient spot of respite for travelers and attracted early traders passing through the region, who found it an ideal location both to sell their wares and to convene with each other. Settlers created encampments around the area that converged at the springs. While it was primarily humans and halflings who took up initial residence, it was not unusual for families of elves to leave the isolation of the woods in favor of the growing hub of culture and exchange- after all, its location made it a natural choice as a neutral meeting ground. Besides, it was not uncommon for representative from each of the forest to meet at the springs in order to speak and negotiate with each other. Permanent infrastructure was created as it grew, making an attractive stop for both overland caravans and seafaring merchants.
When it came time for Teme-Rasadar to declare a capital, Li'more's reputation as a cultural hub and meeting place made it an appealing choice, and by then it was situated on the most notable trade route in the region and at a distinct crossroads.
Following the Caelsimilan Crusade against Teme-Rasadar, the first assembly of the United Lands of Caelsimil Teme-Rasadar was held in Li'more. Representatives from various cities throughout Teme-Rasadar and Caelsimil attended and signed a peace treaty, voting the empire into existence.
