Bolsa

Bolsa is a small town in northeast Teme-Rasadar, within the Lendover Mountains. Its frequently frigid weather is a result of its high altitude, and because it is up and out of the way, it tends not to see many visitors. Some consider the trip up the mountainside toward the town to be too dangerous to endure, but those who make the trek find the natural beauty surrounding the town is worth the risk.

Demographics

Bolsa's modest population of roughly 9000 consists primarily of humans, with some representation from other ancestries including dwarves and mountain gnomes. Bolsa is not a wealthy town, but its hardy residents are healthy and hardworking, and their community is tight-knit and notably reliant and dependent on each other.

History

While Bolsa is much more equipped to deal with the threat of invaders or pillagers due to their vantage point in the mountains, their rural and relatively simple community and lifestyle often leaves them vulnerable to the harsh environment and especially to wicked creatures that wander the mountainside. During the Caelsimil Crusade against Teme-Rasadar, many citizens of the town perished at the hands of a howling wendigo. The creature was eventually defeated by Caelsimilan soldiers who entered Teme-Rasadar to temporarily relocate displaced citizens.
