Forstford Mountain Range

Enormous artificial mountain range which sprang from a clash of arcane, primordial, and divine magics in the early 2100s. Home to several fey, at least one Dwarf Tower, bugbears, @goblins, Werekin, Minotaurs, Trolls....
So, shortly after 1800ish, when the Kargachians started to move inland and spread along the coast, they worked their way into the trusts of the people that lived here, mostly a bunch of faeries and beastfolk along this point, a few Dwarves from a tower that had fallen twice now (I'll make more of that up later, too.).
But, so, the god of the Kargachians was fiercely anti-Warping magic, and after weaving their way into society for so long, they started to plant the seeds that would allow them to relocate most of the Motes and elementals and Worldborn outside the borders (And hopefully wipe them out, but that was a lofty ideal and long-term goal and ewwwwwwwwwww)
Anyway, as the ousting began, the feral folk in the trees offered their help. (They'd been through the war that would lead to the The Edged Lands and felt the solidarity.) And as they organized (The country of Tepeco would join together to help the feral and elementals after this, as well) and fought back, the fights only intensified, until, finally, along a leyline of Primordial Magic, the arcane and divine energies all mixed horribly into what amounted to a metaphysical bomb that ripped the lands apart and raised an entire mountain range by blowing up and growing the ground.

At the time, the land was occupied mostly by natural fairies, but the mountains and their proximity to the Norton Mountain Range led to the higher-altitude-dwellers having some stretching room to spread out, leading to a steady stream of Orcs, Minotaurs, fairies, Werekin, Goliaths, giants, and many others trotting their way down. and bringing lots of their stuff with them.
