First Delivery

We work on loading and settling the cargo on the ship - supervised by BSS of course. As a thank you for the help in assisting with getting rid of the candy canes they provided me with the blueprints of my ship - or at least what is should be currently due to its modular nature. One of the cool parts of that is the fact that I can actually lower the cargo hold section, let it be loaded, and then pull it back into the ship. This should make it really easy to work this whole transport business. We also have time to start building the laboratory for Kualia on a lower deck. She has been patient and working in her room to build the little droid, but I know she would prefer to have some space to work. That reminds me, I need to check in with Weha on his progress. It might be time to add in another facet that will help him to understand the full range of his project. It will also give me a chance to evaluate his mental abilities if he can understand why I am adding to the project. I know we have a 24 hour flight time to Dantooine which should give us a chance to handle those plans.
 
Vanya and Zaye have a conversation about the kill/abduct list that the Void Widows had on the device that was recovered. They discuss why I might be so high on the list and my aunt might be the cause of that because she is a supervillain. It could also be because Zaye has told me things. When Vanya brings up the kids, Zaye explains the steps she has taken to keep them off any list that the Void Widows MIGHT create. The plan suggested is that if Zaye determines what the something might be, then it should be leaked she also told her father so they can attempt to kill a Hutt. They move on to discuss Kit Kat being on the list and why. Zaye thinks it is because he was close to the Emperor for a few years and they will try to break him to use him to either disrupt or control succession.
 
I meet my employer, Yarsk Grey'lat, and he shares his history in having all shipments lately being hijacked. He is thrilled to work with me to start my business and offers me a 10% bonus if I get it there on time or early. I really wish he wasn't set off all of my alarm bells. I am a bit confused as to why he comes down here after we handled all details online and he explains why he felt the need to meet me face-to-face. I get a comm call from Vanya requesting me and Spook to go to the Night Sparrow galley for a meeting. I check with Zaye about the message I got and she downloads most of her conversation with Vanya. We discuss Danar and his fiancé and I propose that she might have agreed to marry him as part of a plot to control or kill him. Zaye agrees to keep watching the kids and we make plans to have some solid family time including determining the Rising Phoenix project that the clone troopers have been working on with the kids. I mention Yarsk and ask her to double check the freight and then she kisses me and sends me and Spook to the Night Sparrow.
 
We get there and Vanya asks why we have spy devices still on the X-Wing and why would we sell it to Hicks that way. I check with Spooks and she claims to have gotten them all from the X-Wing after we left my aunt's service. I trust her so I check to see if there were checks made after we lost control of the ship in various times over the past year. There were times that we did not get the chance as we were in a bit of a rush. Turns out that the tracers were mostly on the parts of the ship that would be able to give telemetry data: nav console, black box , etc. Turns out that various organizations make them to not be seen by droids: Bene Jesserit, Hutt Kajidics, Ministry of Information, and Galactic Imperial Security, Corellian Security, etc. So
Davish says we should plug in to see what it is doing so we do and the readings are encrypted. That means we pull in Kit Kat to decrypt. Turns out he is sending to a particular location with two levels of messaging - one is piggyback on a carrier wave and second one is eavesdropping on that. - looks like an added sub-routine to get that information sent to them as well. One signal is going to Spacer's Tears and one to an in-system relay which Kit Kat will work on to find the final destination. Turns out that the second one is going to Coruscant Imperial Galactic Center. We check with the group and no one knows anyone that might be on Coruscant. I suggest that we should probably check the Night Sparrow to see if any might be hidden.
 
Which make me think and I send Zaye a text message to check the Starrise Falcon for those tracers too. "On it, love," she replies right away. "I wonder if the cargo has them?" "Hm, I'll check that, too" :Not that I don't trust Yarsk, but he did set off all of my alarm bells. And how else are the other cargos ships being raided?" "Yes, and we don't know that much about him... yet. But we will!" "Yes, we will. Maybe we need to do a quick background on our delivery location?" "Absolutely. I'll check that before we leave." "That would be one way to get a LOT of free minerals." "Maybe... pirates?" "I don't know. That almost feels like the easy answer." Zaye logs off to check the ship and cargo while I ask the next question. Should we check the droids?
 
Spook agrees to a full scan to make me feel better though she is not worried about having any tracers on her. Omitron is inflated to help us search. He is clear of devices and says, after a quick scan of the device, that it is based upon genetic codes from a small group. This stresses me and no one else. He uses his hand scanner on the others, but I get hugged and apparently he scans while hugging. Then we all get lollipops. It is of course me and Hicks - well his entire genetic line. Seems to have been someone who has knowledge of cloning. I turn to Hicks and ask him didn't we work with a Kamoine on Spacer's Tears. Vanya asks them to check the older troopers and Omitron says they would also activate the tracers. Davish sends him up front to recharge while we start to check the Night Sparrow. We find four of the devices and then Vanya gets a call. Once she signs off, she asks me if there was a direct request to not talk about Spacer's Tears. I tell her nothing direct, but it was implied by the atmosphere of the pseudo planet.
 
She walks down the gangplank and back up with the Comisar Celestima. They have a conversation and then the Comisar leaves and then Vanya tells me that I need to check the Starrise Falcon. I told her that I had already asked Zaye to do that. Vanya asks if she found a woman in a box. I ask why I should be worried about that and she just tells me that it would be the worst thing that could happen so we should check for it. I call Zaye to ask for Vanya and Zaye just stares at me over the comm channel. I wish I could explain what is going on, but I really can't. She confirms there is girl in a box and I say I will let Vanya know and we both hope that it will stop her checking. Zaye just laughs. Spook and I roll off the Night Sparrow and head home to confirm no girls in boxes and do final flight checks. Davish calls me about an hour later and says that Vanya is back aboard and we are ready for lift off. I confirm that we will meet in hyperspace and log off chat. I turn to Zaye and get her to assist with final checks and then I take the pilot's chair so I can fly us up into space.
 
We take time during the flight to cook a family mean together, eat, and relax as a family. We watch a vid that the kids were interested in and laugh and have fun. Then it is off to bed for everyone. When we wake up the next morning, Zaye and I take turns asking questions about what they have been learning and how they think it relates to what they have already learned. Which lessons they have enjoyed the most and also work on getting details on the whole Phoenix Rising thing. Afterwards, we go with Kualia to check our her lab and then spend some time with Weha talking about what he thinks his next step should be and suggesting that maybe there is another animal that can do the same thing as the space whales. We have another family meal and get ready to land.
 
We come out of hyperspace and are immediately contacted by BSS and assigned to landing Pad 30. As soon as we have our approval to land, I contact Jalum Carr at SerinStar Contruction in order to schedule the offloading of freight as I was instructed. He is thrilled that we made it intact. I let him know which landing pad we have been assigned. We land and then the pit droids arrive to do the maintenance checks. Davish contacts me because he notices something unusual on the field. Out past the fuel loaders is Thrawn. I have no idea why, but he is here on Dantooine and appears to be waiting for us. Vanya runs to be in front of our ship because she thinks he is here for us specifically - not anyone on the Night Sparrow. Davish and I turn on ship's sensors and I put Weha in charge of monitoring them. Zaye and I go to the bottom of our ramp while Rex and Cody are at the bottom of the Night Sparrow ramp. Davish pulls the entire team to be ready for backing up the situation if violence ensues. We think we might have two surprises: Yosha and the freight unloading. Kit Kat will be our envoy and I am confident that the situation will go sideways for Thrawn quickly - if it is Thrawn of course.
 
We all listen in while Kit Kat and Thrawn talk. He is claiming to be uninterested in attacking us and instead wants to be on our side. Mostly because Iceheart is after Noki and Hicks. Kit Kat asks me to check on my readiness to unload and I am about to answer when Vanya asks him to reach out to understand if there is anything untoward. He founds lumps on the ground and shares that with us. I have Weha to do a deep scan of the lumps behind the Starrise Falcon and he comes back to say there are people in light armor with weapons. I thank Weha and pass that information to the rest of the group. Then I contact Jalum and ask him to land as close to my ship as possible so we can more easily unload/reload. He agrees and I let him know that the ground might be bumpy, but should be no problem. He agrees no problem and we all begin to move into position to be ready for what comes next. As the ship is landing, Thrawn twirls his fingers and the lumps stand up and move to form a perimeter facing outwards. They are guarding us and I can't wait to find out from what.
