Krakenheim
"Krakenheim is hands-down my absolute favorate place on Oerth! Aside from the fact that it has a totally kick-arse name, full of big burly barbarians who call themselves 'Fruzti' and don't mind at all when I mispronounce it Fruity, or that it snows here almost all year round, and its surrounded by pine forests and a big frozen bay where the ships have to play dodgems with iceburgs every time they come into the harbour, and the kids just love their snowball fights! Like really, what's not to love? Aside from all that, the locals have this adorable habit of pretending the letter C doesn't exist, and replace them all with Ks. So...Kroissants! They took a while to katch on, the Fruity kan be a bit impatient with their kooking. There's also ridiculously sized monsters like dragons and yeti and yes the occassional kraken-sized thing from the ocean, some of which are friend-shaped, and some just try to eat you on sight, either way its so cool watching them play with the monster-handlers or monster-killers.
But now I can't use my shield token, so I haven't been back here since before Guildfall. I hear the Fruity are doing well, though, which is great to hear. I was terrified they'd be wiped out. There are dark things in the mountains to the north."
