Soil

'Soil' is a gritty, brown-black material left over when a Fae creature is slain in the Prime Material Plane. While fae are reborn on their home plane when this occurs, the process is not instant and is hardly harmless or painless for the fae involved. However, in the presence of a skilled wizard, their departure from the Prime Material can cause fragments of the essence of the multiverse itself to coallesce into the material known as Soil.

It was discovered early in the Imperium War that Soil, used as a spell reagent, could allow a skilled spellcaster to travel between worlds and other planes of existence without aid of a shield token. This made Soil the only viable option for people who wished to travel the multiverse without the blessings of the Little Warriors Adventurers Guild.

Soil was rendered powerless at the conclusion of the Imperium War.
