Niole Dra

The capital of Keoland, and home of King Skotti. The King restricts all Arcane practices in Keoland. As part of those restrictions, all sorcerers unable to contain their powers are required to report to Niole Dra, where specialised facilities the locals have jokingly begun referring to as 'the Asylums' allow them to practice their craft without risk to anyone except themselves. Wizards also are given greater rights here than across the rest of the nation, so long as they are open to royal inspectors.

The nobles palaces here have a reputation for doubling as museums. It has become something of a competition between themselves and the people of Ahlissa as to who can hold the most and rarest sculptures, artifacts and artworks. Local art has taken a strange turn - as the activities of wizards and sorcerers have become curtailed by royal decree, magic users have taken to using their arts to produce artworks, many in subtle protest of Skotti's more oppressive policies.

The city is known for hosting multiple theives guilds. It can be difficult at times to keep track of which are patriots and servents of the king, which are agents of the Scarlet Brotherhood, and which are just honest thieves trying to make a living. At least one such guild is a Little Warriors outpost, and another reports to The Arcane Eye.

A Dark Star barbarian called Derapos was trapped here during Guildfall and has been more open about his activities. He has created a Dark Star outpost worshiping Tarveldin, who is known here as Celestius, god of stars. The Dark Stars are well regarded here as fearless adventurers, monster hunters, and foes of demon worshippers. According to rumour, several Dark Star barbarians from Elanora have travelled here by means unknown to learn from Derapos, and they spend their time summoning demons in a courtyard to practice fighting them. Including Balors.
