House Arcanden
The Arcanden family is one of the seven houses of power, however, they are the only house of those seven that remains unlanded. The Arcanden family instead resides within the capital city of Azurena. The Arcanden family is an immensely powerful mage family. The Aracandens run the mage academy located in Azurena along with the mage tower located on and within Mount Arcanum. The Arcanden household head is often the main advisor to the King. The Arcandens like to work with the Cadmore family often in forging mithral magical items. This caused the Arcanden line to always have silver irises.

Structure
The head of house Arcanden is the first advisor to the king and has control over the Mage Academy, though he often delegates that power. As is the Parvian tradition the succession of the house is chosen by the head from among their children. In Arcanden this usually goes to the smartest or most magically powerful. They treat their women on equal footing with their men as the entire house was started by a woman.
Culture
Arcanden children are often in contention with each other but on good standing with their cousins, this comes from not competing for the same inheritance. They are a naturally curious bunch but also tend to be arrogant.
