Ireena Kolyana (a.k.a. Tatyana)
Ireena was found wandering the Svalich Woods by Kolyan Indriovich as a young girl. As a result of trauma or the will of the Mists, Ireena would never be able to recall how she got there or who she was before. As the adopted daughter of the burgomaster, she spent her life happily in the Village of Barovia, learning swordplay from Ismark Kolyanovich and everything she possibly could from the people of the village.
That all changed when Ireena was about eighteen. Wolves and undead begin to attack the house, night after night. For weeks, the house was laid siege and, three days before the arrival of a helpful Party of Adventurers, her father died of a heart attack. Ireena travels with the party for some time for protection, but eventually, after reluctantly agreeing to give the darklord a chance (it took him singing. The bard helped), she was killed in the resulting fight between the two halves of Strahd, the Creature and the Alchemist, by a fireball.
Now holding all her memories and the memories of her past lives, Ireena walks by the side of a young woman named Alice Weathermay as a ghost, offering advice and an always vigilant friend to watch her back.
