For the longest time, there was just the Kingdom of Solaris and the independant towns of the lower realms. A Patriarchy with the council of a royal court of advisors, the kingdom has grown across time, from the towns surrounding the
Amphitheatre of Knowledge, to include the trade town of
Whencis and the arborial city of
Gracetown.

At the head lies the King, it has always been a king, since the Dragon King himself, all the way to the present - it will always be a king. With each town or city under the control of a baron or Grandmother, who runs the town and the surrounding region, while paying honor to the King, in the form of tribute.
There have been times when further layers have existed between King and Grandmother, but this bloat was during times where there was very little trust between those in charge, and those living the day to day. Luckily, the bards exist to keep the balance.
Since the beginning of the kingdom, there has existed the wall. Techno-organic and laced with protective magics, this massive bulwark of the royal rule has stood as a guard between those within and those without. When the massive horned-bison discovered it was within their migratory path, they tore a hole through it, leaving a massive mark upon the kingdom and a reminder of how little they are to the forces of the wild.
Over a thousand years later, the
Infinity Gate was created within the hole, a mark of progress and safety, and a reminder to the people of the kingdom that the royal court is there to protect them.
Oh a country? Nation building you can go so deep. Currency, geopolitics, maps, regions, provinces, justice system, government, there is so much you can choose to do, it all depends on your needs honestly.
I second this. Those are some good points to add for a country. And also maybe some history.
