Resolutions in Sight 2026

It's a new year, and apparently, we have to do this every year. No matter how much we do it, it might as well be doing taxes, trying to figure out what's what, and what to figure out to do this year. The only thing that makes this good is helping writers get their work out there, and know that's how I got on the mainstream once upon a time on here. Now that I've achieved my goal for World Ember again this year, I can focus on just reading more about what happened

The Old Ways

A nice little article that goes into the early days of ancient humans and the faith in their deities that underpins their various practices. It adds nice depth to the early history of the world and how it has shaped it. I do enjoy taking a brief look at the Pantheon to have a deeper dive into the gods that make up this faith ans hope figure out a way to display it on my articles without overwhelming the reader.

Flag of The Maw

While somewhat shorter article, it tells enough of a story about symbolism and what it represents to all who see it. Here it's supposed to bring fear and death to all who show it to their enemies, and the consequence is a nice display of imagery. I often hope to go into more symbolism in my work to give a better understanding of what symbols mean and how people interact with them in my writing.

Embodiment

I have always had a fascination with robots and how they are made, but applying ways to create them with magic makes them far more interesting. Especially when adding how they shake things up in society when no one depended on them before that point. It makes me think of a few ideas on how to diversify and create such machines in my world for a later date.

The Velvet-Eared Ratfolk

Now this is an article after my own heart, a highly detailed document on a culture mainly created by rats, no less, or in this case, ratfolk. What makes this stand out is the sheer detail placed into it on the aspects of their culture that have allowed them to prosper in their civilization, with their many customs and growing up in it. It makes me question if I should dive deeper into my own culture to apply such detail.

Flying Islands

The idea of floating islands have always give us the idea of what would happen if we put a floating rock in the air and questions how it stays afloat. But like most of them they are shrouded in mystery with people trying to find out what on them and if there anything worth the trip. I makes me want to try and add some deeper mystery to them in some older ideas that have been floating around.

Insperation

While I am not a horror aficionado, am a superstious person and know better than to wonder into places that should not be in random places. The Barn is one of them and Solomonjack had left a very large mark with this running about. I haven't really done much in the idea of horror in my writing besides the traditional sense with your monster and evil things, but the fact there is no answer to what the barn truly is or its purpose makes the question more unsettling without an answer. It one of the reason that people tend to stay away from old buildings long since abandon as if they were meant to be left alone to rot away for no one seeks to know what lies hidden in them as if it all the more dangerous as one might enter and never come out. It has inspired me to look into something darker in Tale of Radiance where the dark can be just as dangerous as the creatures that are born from it, but to find yourself in The Dark Below is to know the true meaning of fear as the light will not find you should you find yourself in it.

Here everything that I go planned this year, that might possibly expand should something come up.

• Get back into writing into my other worlds since they have been neglected

• Continue to work on rebuilding old articles that need to be updated

• Continue my campaign for dominance of world anvil and get back in the spotlight

• Try to get back into wrting a lot of new articles to expand world to the point of madness

• Figure out new ways to apply AI images and ccs to make my writing more interactive
