Merri was born to Vlower Hoharca and Clai Weldraum, on Zavi Station.
Childhood
Both her parents were quiet reserved peaople, and she grew up in a happy, if understated, family. Thier home was a peaceful place of learning in an otherwise hyperactive and loud location. She grew up loving learning, crativity, and the vibrance of other people's ideas and lives, even if different from her own. Always curious and seacking understanding, though not very vocal about it, she loved observing others and beign around people as long as the focuse was not on her.Early Adulthood
When she was 15 she enlisted in Organized Courier Service Alliance to get better hands on training in her favored field, Rovertech. She travled back and forth between her home on Zavi and her job on Vida, often tagging along with her childhood friend Bazdar on his advnetures. She was accepted by Baz's friend group and, though she was not really close with any of them, being around them as they soaked up attention was enjoyable to her.Vida Disaster

They met when Merry transferred to the Vida Colony for work. She had no friends but had the good fortune to to meet Baz while out shopping one day. Baz complemented her outfit, and she his, and the two were friends ever since.
Relationship Reasoning
While at a first glance these two seem unlikely to get along, what with Merry's quiet reserved nature and Baz's bombastic personality, the two are actually fairly good friends. Merry never feels like she has to carry a conversation when Baz is around, and the two have a love of art, especially where it involves fashion. They often go to parties together and use each other as an excuse not to stay with one group to long or hurt peoples feelings when they turn them down for dance or date requests.
