Shadow Elves
Shadow Elves (Fuindil) are a subspecies of Elf native to the Land of Shadow. They are very few in number, and have a strong connection to the Plane of Shadow, particularly to darkness and impassiveness.
Shadow Elves exist in a strange state between life and death, in complete contrast to their Eldarin ancestors, the Shadow Elves are often virtually devoid of emotion, living in a state of perpetual misery or unfeeling.
Shadow Elves often worship the God of Darkness, Erebus, their Patron Deity. Legends say that the first Shadow Elves migrated to the Land of Shadow in order to be closer to Erebus, and their devotion kept them from leaving.
Due to the Shadow Elves’ emotionless or miserable state, they rarely have the motivation to leave the Land of Shadow or their communities within it. Those that do leave the Plane of Shadow find the world outside to be too bright, emotional and overwhelming. But on rare occasions, some Shadow Elves, especially the young and adventurous, will not be deterred by the light and instead choose to pursuing the emotions and connections they could not get at home. These Shadow Elves almost never return to the Land of Shadow.
