Oturton

Oturton, located on Pical within the Pelago Islands, covers a geographic area of about 264 square kilometres. There is a population of close to 21,000 people. Thirty five minutes inland is the village Ashbaki. Eight and a half hours walk southwest of Pearral.

The town lies on edge of the fertile plains of Pical. The Otur Beach is sandy with spear grass, broom, and tussock growing between the beach and the town.
The town has businesses providing a wide range of services to farming in the district, including seed merchants, livestock sellers, and farm machinery repairers.

The entrance foyer holds two thin double doors, one leading to a compact library and the other to a small bookstore. Many scribes sit studiously reading at long desks. They always have some scholarly duties that require to be performed. Novice scribes are enlisted to transcribe old documents and perform other less-than-exciting tasks. The amount of energy that all the library's scribes pour into their work is truly exceptional.
While petitioners are seldom denied access to a particular tome or scroll - Few can freely wander the library. The only people allowed within the chambers unaccompanied, are staff.

Oturton Domain

The small grassy domain is edged with well planted carnations, forget-me-nots, daisies, foxgloves, honeysuckle and roses.

The Octopus and Owlbear Tavern

Out front there is a lantern hanging above a stone porch with a hide awning. Several wooden signs advertising cheap drinks.
The engraved tavern door opens to an illuminate by candle light room. Standing behind the polished wooden bar is a male Tiefling with a long face, yellow eyes, and orange scales. She is wearing a jade tunic, and navy pants.
To the right is a hearth with a roaring flame within, and to the left is a wrought iron spiral staircase.
