Southeastern Lyrathil
Bordered to the west by the Great Oyudanyi Jungle and south of the Gulf of the Fallen Star, the Illuminated Church dominates the southeastern region of the continent. Rising to power following the defeat of the Mad Sorcerer Morthos Dray and his Dragonborn army, the Illuminated Church openly commands the Grenchester Army and Balefire Knights of Grenchester under the command of Grenchester’s Queen, Brenna Ambercrown.
While the Illuminated Church controls much of the central area marking it as a place rich in traditions of chivalry and warfare, smaller communities dot the landscape. Deep in the Shimmerwood forest, the Ishnal Rae Elves, descendants of the once great Elven Kingdom Tyranal, live in seclusion from the outside world, acting as jailers tasked with keeping a hidden threat in the Broken Lands locked away.
