Thaymount
The Thaymount Citadel is the heart of Szass Tam's power and the home of the Red Wizards. It is located on the tallest of the volcanic peaks that form the Thaymount mountains. It was created by saurians, an ancient race of lizardfolk.
Little is known about the interior of the Citadel, as only Red Wizards and servants of Tam are permitted there. It is known that the Citadel includes Tam's personal palace, where he is seldom found, and a dungeon he has forbidden even the Red Wizards to go, where lie the secrets of the Paths of the Doomed, and the method Tam plans to use to attain godhood. Few have ever escaped the dungeons beneath Thaymount, but from here have emerged some of Thay's most potent monstrosities.
