Arasilian

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
This langauge was developed by the Arasilisch after the split up from the Narsilisch. This was developed after the Arasilian, through their allies developed close ties with the kingdom of Celtira by the beginning of the count.   This langauge is spoken in Kingdom of Arasil, Ara-Taj, Tarren Hills Pride, Free Cities of Nidoran, Heiligstes König Reich Celtira (or was) and Chancellery of Rhovasil.   This langauge is heavily affected by Elvish, Draconic and Celestialish.

Writing System

Unlike the runes of Nokeasi or the rigid Bafigronish letters, Arasilian is written in Celestial Script, characterized by flowing, vertical strokes that resemble rays of light or wings.

Phonology

Because of its heavy Elvish root, Arasilian is fluid and musical. It avoids the harsh, glottal stops of Narsilian, preferring flowing transitions between words. The influence of Celestialish gives the language a natural "reverb" quality. In formal settings or during the swearing of the Oath of Edrahil, speakers use a deep, resonant tone that sounds like it is being spoken in a cathedral.   The langauge features a high frequency of long vowels, often rising in pitch toward the end of a sentence, a trait inherited from Draconic which gives it an authoritative yet beautiful sound.

Morphology

Similar to Elvish, Arasilian attaches suffixes to names and titles to indicate a person's relationship. Like the suffix 'Sil' which indicates silver.   Verbs often have two distinct forms: one for mundane actions and one for consecrated actions (influenced by Celestialish). To say "I ride" while on a common horse is a different word than "I ride" while mounted on a Hippogriff or Pegasus,   Titles like High-Sky Commander or Knight of the Charge are often expressed as single, complex words in Arasilian military script.

Syntax

Subject-Verb-Object
While the base structure is standard, the Celestialish influence allows for a "Truth-First" syntax where the most morally important noun is placed at the beginning of the sentence for emphasis. Sentences involving promises or military orders often end with a Mandatory Particle, which is a short sound that "seals" the statement as an oath. In addition, Draconic logic influenced it to a complex Arasilian sentences stack multiple conditions at the start, leading up to a single, powerful action at the end.

Vocabulary

Dozens of words for flight patterns, naval jargons, wind currents, and the behavior of flying steeds (Hippogriffs, Pegasi, Dragonnels).

Adjective Order

Generally Adjective + Noun, but when describing items of divine or elven make (such as Balcane or elven plate), the adjective follows the noun to show respect (e.g., Steel Resplendent).
