Aisgariano

Aisgariano is the langauge developed as a trade langauge in the middle of Rakion.

Phonology

Musical and open. Almost every word ends in a vowel. It features geminate (doubled) consonants which are held longer (e.g., Abba-isgar). It sounds passionate, clear, and carries well across water or busy markets.

Morphology

Heavy use of diminutive and augmentative suffixes to change meaning (e.g., a "small coin" vs. a "great wealth"). This is vital in Aisgariano trade culture.

Sentence Structure

SVO, but highly flexible. Word order often shifts to place the most important information (the price, the threat, the name) at the beginning of the sentence.

Adjective Order

Noun + Adjective. Placing an adjective before the noun often changes the meaning to be more figurative or emotional.

Structural Markers

Uses specific honorific markers as prefixes to names to indicate mercantile rank or debt-status.
