First Imperial Bank
The first bank of the Empire of Mori, established in 408 AS, located in the city of Mori. They have a glorious stately building in the Merchant’s Ring called the Gold Pact building.
They recently started the practice of issuing promissory notes for a value of gold. These notes can be traded instead of gold or cashed in for gold coins at the bank itself.
The bank is independent from the government and functions as an alternative to the Imperial Treasury providing funds to merchants and businesses in forms of loans. Even the government takes out the occasional loan when they are short on funds.
